The multi-award winning documentary Aftermath: The Remnants Of War By Toronto's Storyline Entertainment Airs on Vision TV - Thursday June 3, 2004, 8:00pm and Midnight ET

Aftermath: The Remnants Of War is a cry from the heart of the 20th century and a plea to the 21st to learn from its horrendous legacy and change course.

An arresting study of the devastations wreaked during history's bloodiest century, the acclaimed feature-length documentary from Toronto's Storyline Entertainment provides a compelling portrait of those whose mission it is to clean up war's lethal remnants, often decades after the fact.

The aftermath of Aftermath has been a flood of unwaveringly positive reaction - nominations, awards, rave reviews, excited word-of-mouth at festivals and feature venues around the world, capped by a move to the educated mainstream via an acquisition deal with the Sundance Channel in the U.S.

Premiering on History Television last year, Aftermath - co-produced by Storyline's Ed Barreveld, Michael Kot, and Canada's National Film Board - makes another Canadian broadcast debut, this time on Vision TV, Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 8pm and midnight (ET).

"We're delighted that Aftermath continues to interest program directors and viewers alike," says Storyline Entertainment Producer Ed Barreveld. "When we finished the film we had no idea that the 21st century would have such a violent start. With the war in Iraq, the film's message has lost none of its potency and should be a powerful reminder that wars don't end when the soldiers return home."

Aftermath: The Remnants of War is based on the Gelber Prize winning book of the same title by American author Donovan Webster. Filmed on location in Russia, Vietnam, Bosnia and France, it tells the true stories of people who work under hazardous conditions to clean up their countries post-war. It reveals not only the human suffering caused by the lingering repercussions of toxic chemicals, landmines and unexploded artillery, but also that war never really ends.
