Storyline Entertainment
is a Toronto-based producer of documentaries and non-fiction programming
for television. Established in the summer of 2000, Storyline Entertainments
mandate is to create high-end productions with an international appeal,
from one hours to feature-length projects, from one-offs to series.
Their first production, the feature-length documentary Aftermath:
The Remnants of War is slated for broadcast June 3 on History Television
in Canada. A slate of new projects are in development or pre-production,
with pre-sale opportunities available.
The company is the creation of three Canadian filmmakers with extensive
experience producing for domestic and international markets. Producer
Ed Barreveld spent ten years with the National Film Board of Canadas
Toronto Studio before embarking on a independent career that has involved
such broadcasters as A&E, the BBC, PBS and TVAsahi. Producer/director
Michael Kot created ground-breaking programming for CBC Newsworld, The
Discovery Channel and HistoryTelevision, including the documentary series
The Passionate Eye, Ideas on Camera as well as
numerous new media projects. Finally, director/producer Daniel Sekulich
has been creating award-winning documentaries for over a decade, films
that have been broadcast in Canada, the United States, Europe and Australasia.
Developing and producing films with a distinct point of view, international
appeal and high production values, Storyline Entertainment brings new
