July 27, 2009 - Christian Bauer, director and co-producer of The Secret of the Snake Goddess dies

It is with great shock and sadness that we learned that our friend and one time partner Christian Bauer suddenly died following a heart attack in Munich. Christian was 61. 

Christian was the director and co-producer on the Canada/German/Greek co-production The Secret of the Snake Goddess and we worked with him on the film which was complicated and had an impossible delivery schedule - 4 months from shooting to delivery. Christian was up to the task and delivered an award winning program. 

Christian was the founder of Tangram - Christian Bauer Film Productions, one of Germany's most successful non-fiction production houses. Aside from being an incredibly talented filmmaker, he was one of the nicest men in the business. We offer our sincere condolences to Christian's family and Dagmar Biller and the Tangram team. Christian will be dearly missed by us all.
