Jun 18, 2008 – A Whale of a Tale repeat broadcast on CBC Newsworld on Tue Aug 5 at 10 pm Storyline Entertainment is pleased to announce the repeat broadcast of A Whale of a Tale on CBC Newsworld on Tue Aug 5, 2008 at 10 pm ET The miraculous discovery of a whale bone during the excavation of a new subway line in downtown Toronto during the 1980s sets the city all aflutter. The bone, a vertabrae, found in a landfill about 20 meters below the surface by backhoe operator Joe Resendes, a contractor working for the Toronto Transit Commission, did not belong there. There existed no recorded history of whales ever having made it to the city on Lake Ontario. Produced by Acqua Film Inc. and Storyline Entertainment Inc. in co-production with The National Film Board of Canada, in Association with CBC – Rough Cuts and with the Participation of Canadian Independent Film and Video Fund, Canadian Television Fund - created by the Government of Canada and the Canadian Cable Industry – CTF: Licence Fee Program, IFC: Independent Film Channel, Star Choice Communications Inc. and The Canadian Film or Video Tax Credit .
